Product team · Hermes
ReleaseAfter nine months in preview inside the studio, the workflow agent gets a version number, a scheduler, and a way to see exactly what each step did.
Hermes runs the sort of work that is too irregular for a cron job and too repetitive for a person: reconcile these two exports, chase the three rows that disagree, file the result where the team will find it. In preview it only ran when someone started it.
1.0 adds a scheduler, so a workflow can run on a clock or when a file lands in a watched folder. More importantly it adds the step inspector: every run keeps the input, the output and the reasoning for each step, so when a workflow does something surprising you can find the step where it turned rather than re-running the whole thing and hoping.
The agent still asks before anything it cannot undo. That has not changed and will not.
In this release
- Scheduled runs: by clock, or on a watched folder.
- Step inspector with the full input, output and reasoning per step.
- Re-run a single step against a new input without replaying the workflow.
- Run history kept for 90 days, exportable as JSON.
- Confirmation still required for any irreversible action.
