Nine years of BOXYZ VN — an afternoon of demos and cake

The studio turned nine. We spent the afternoon showing each other what we had built, including the things that did not ship.

BOXYZ VN was founded in Đà Nẵng in 2017 by Dinh Phu, Dinh Duong and Xuan Giang. Every year since, on the anniversary, we stop at lunchtime and spend the rest of the day on demos.

The rule is that half the slots go to work that never shipped. It is the only occasion in the year where a dead prototype gets an audience, and it is consistently the more interesting half of the afternoon.
