BOXYZ Tech Talk: an internal series, every other Friday

Forty-five minutes, one speaker from inside the studio, no slides required. The series started in March and has not missed a fortnight since.

The format is deliberately low-effort to prepare: one person talks about something they learned recently, for forty-five minutes, to whoever wants to come. There is no requirement to be an expert, and explicitly no requirement to make slides.

The first six sessions covered on-device transcription, why our Flutter builds were slow, end-to-end encryption key rotation, an argument about state management that never resolved, colour on low-end Android screens, and reading a flame graph.

Sessions are recorded and kept internally so anyone who missed one can catch up.

How it works

• Every other Friday, 16:00–16:45, in the main room.
• One speaker, from inside the studio. Slides optional.
• Attendance is voluntary and always has been.
• Recorded and kept internally.
